a Christ-centered addiction ministry of
Heritage Baptist Church of Wallingford, CT
(Directions)

  • Do you want to know why you do the things you do?

  • Are you tired of losing the battle?

  • Are you serious about finding help?

  • Have you been in and out of rehabs and various support groups but you find yourself still losing the battle?

Come and learn how to address
your addiction problem.
Come learn in a comfortable classroom setting with men and women who are ready to assist you in a spiritual journey that will transform your life.
When addiction is exposed for what it is and the layers are peeled back, what you will really see is that addiction is only the symptom and the root is a spiritual emptiness.  That is why when most people try to recover from addiction, it is usually replaced by another addiction. The hidden problem remains. The void is still there. This is the reason there are support groups for so many addictions. This is why we can address them all, no matter what the addiction is.

What is Abundant Life Ministry?

We are an outreach ministry of Heritage Baptist Church of Wallingford , Connecticut .  We have been reaching people who struggle with any kind of addiction for several years now.
We have been blessed to see God touch and change so many lives over these years.  Many men and women from different walks of life have found a new life through this ministry with God’s help.  We have seen the homeless, those just getting out of prison, those who were about to go to prison, and every other scenario come to know a better life free of addiction.
What makes ALM different from other programs?
Most programs attempt to treat the symptoms instead of the cause.  We at ALM have a saying, “go to the root, not the fruit.”  Programs have a tendency to look at treating the symptoms and not the source.
We take the biblical perspective and what God shows us as the source of our problem and the permanent remedy.

Read some of the testimonies of those whose lives
have been transformed.

“I drank myself to sleep every day for years. I lived alone and was unemployed. I was physically deteriorating and very depressed. My life has been transformed physically and, more importantly, spiritually. God has helped me in so many ways.

”T.L. – Wallingford, CT.

“I am a young female who was addicted to drugs and hanging around the wrong crowd. I attended an ALM banquet a year ago and I have been attending and growing spiritually ever since. God has not only changed my life but my family’s as well.

”J.S. – Wallingford, CT.

“Abundant Life Ministry saved my life. Before I attended ALM, I drank almost every day. I felt lost, depressed and at times I didn’t even want to live. ALM has taught me how to have a personal relationship with God through the Bible. Now I am a lot happier, alcohol- free, and full of life.

”L.G. – Seymour, CT.

“ALM is the perfect place where the spouse or affected member can go to learn through the Word of God and sharing with others about the effects of chemical addictions and how to cope with it.

”G.G. – Wallingford, CT.

“I was skeptical about ALM when I first came a   year ago. I struggled with alcohol and my life was a mess. ALM is teaching me and guiding me through God’s word and it has been changing me and affecting my family as well.

”L.M. – Meriden, CT.

“I was in prison for 18 years, and when I was released I was so full of guilt and emptiness. I attended my first ALM meeting and in no time I saw God’s forgiveness and purpose for my life. I didn’t need drugs or alcohol to fall back on to mask the pain.

"G.C. – Meriden, CT.

When I first came to Abundant Life Ministry, I was living in a homeless shelter. I struggled with drugs and alcohol; I didn’t even want to live anymore. Through God’s help and their staff I have a new life with purpose and I am serving God each and everyday!

”B.G. – Niantic, CT.
